Prop 8 and Prop 102

So this prop angers me how is it possible that something that takes away a constitutional right passes.

How does it even make it to the ballot? For me this prop means nothing but a question whats next can they tell me that I cannot marry because I am Mexican? I know thats far fetched but think about it if they take the rights of some Americans away then what stops people from taking yours?

If you are not gay what does it matter? Is your marriage any less worthy? no!

This angers me a lot with things like this that should never be debated or brought into elections.

The fact that someone is gay does not make there rights any less valuable. So here we are voting in a black President which I could not be more happy about but then we are robbing a group of people from thier rights!

This is insane I want to sue the people that put this prop. on the ballot.

Who’s to say that one day they wont take away your rights or mine?

Racist and Socialist America?

Posted in Politics with tags , , , , , , , , , , , on October 21, 2008 by raulgil5

I swear McCain and Palin must be idiots.
How can these two sit there and call Obama’s plan Socialism?
Giving tax breaks to the wealthy and big businesses is fair
but giving tax breaks to the middle class and poor is what Socialism or Welfare?

This sounds ludicrous to me!
It sounds like the McCain/Palin camp are running out of Ideas.

I also think that someone needs to shut up Rush Limbaugh.
The stupid man that for some reason has his own radio show.
Why is it that since Colin Powell endorsed Obama its about race?
Cant it be that Powell worked under a republican administration and he discovered that no longer agreed with the republican Ideals.

I think Limbaugh’s comments are him trying to mask his own insecurities of not wanting other than a white man in office.

I cannot imagine that when a white person endorses a white candidate there is no one saying ” Its because he is white “

The days of racism are over and if people cannot see that McCain is an angry old man that See’s a win slipping away from him to a man that is not of the same color. Then I do not know why our government invests in our education system.

This battle for the White house is becoming a circus on the McCain/Palin end.
I want the world to know that anyone who does not question the motives of the McCain/Palin camp might not be a real American.

McCain has lied over and over now to the American people.
His campaign has become all about character assassination.
I wish nothing for the best for every person but I must say.
So I state to Sen. McCain ” Sir, you may not be a real American “

Prisoners?

What in the world was McCain talking about “My fellow prisoners”.

Does he think he is a POW again? I swear the more this goes on I swear it is looking like Bush all over again. The man is losing it. The McCain camp is losing steam as they have been for a while.

The idea that this old man that seems to be going senile could possibly run this country if the people dont think before they vote scares me. This is enough how Palin could stand there with no change on her face about the prisoners comment I have no idea.

The whole Palin thing makes me sick actually. I am fine with a woman as VP I would be fine as with a Woman President. The fact that the McCain camp picked her though puzzles me. Then for Palin to come out and say she didnt give it a second thought how could she not with a new born at home?  This wouldn’t bother me if the baby wasn’t a special needs child. Why you might ask does this matter a child with special needs is in need of a mother not a nanny. Then the fact that her 17 year old daughter is pregnant why is this not a huge problem. If it was Obama that had a pregnant 17 year old the press would be all over it.

I have issues with this McCain/Palin ticket. I think that they should quick now before they make a mockery of our country.

This Historic Night

Tonight the world has shown what our country is all about. The promise of a better future and the American dream.

On this historic night we will look deep into the heart of our country and see that it is beating stronger than ever. The race of a man or woman shall no longer be something that can impose barriers. There will be no more excuses.

Every American will now have the chance to chase the American dream. In the following days Americans must do there part to help rebuild this great country. One must think of how they can do there part.

I must say that in all the things that have happened in the history of this country this is going to change many of the now modern problems that stem from the past.

Obama will be given the controls of this great country and we the people have bestowed this great honor on him. In doing this we as Americans must be strong and be supporting of our President. We must show how this country can come together and be who we were always meant to be AMERICANS!

Dreams

Ok so this is a little different than my usual not like anyone reads this blog anyway.

So I started to think tonight, I know I am a dreamer and more than anyone I have so many hopes and dreams that I tend to go back and forth on. This go from being a tattoo artist to being a pilot, to being an actor.

The truth is that I worry about very few things in life. This does not work well with many people. The only person it worries me about though is my honey ( yes babe you lol ) I worry that one day she will get tired of it. I just know that living is what I want to do. I never want to look back at my life and not think “hey I have had a great life”. This notion that life is boring and mundane that so many people get stuck in scares the hell out of me.

I fear that maybe one day all my dreams will be my demise. I am 24 and it makes me very unease of getting into a career that I am unhappy in. I have a great woman behind me but what if one day my dreams are just too much to handle?

I want to do so much in life and yet I feel like I am fighting just to begin. I wasted a lot of time being so upset about nothing. I was mad at how the universe dealt me my cards that I tried to forget it all. Now I have the family that I have always wanted minus Isaiah of course but none the less I have a beautiful family. The love of a woman that sticks around even though I am crazy lol.

I just hope that it is never to much.

McCain/Palin same old politics!

Posted in Uncategorized on October 6, 2008 by raulgil5

I am confused here with this campaign. It seems to me like McCain and Palin are doing the same old things that everyone has done in the past. McCain is trying to run a smear campaign now that he sees that he could really lose this. I cannot stand Palin she is not a national contender. A Governor from Alaska that has being investigated is our VP pick? What was McCain thinking? Did he think that he could take the Clinton votes? I think Palin’s whole we are like the people attitude is the wrong way to go. We already voted in a guy who people said in polls that they could sit down and drink a beer with and we saw how that turned out. Palin’s attacks on Obama anger me a great deal. The fact that Obama knows someone who used to make stupid choices is pointless everyone knows this. People make mistakes and the fact that it wasn’t Obama that was a supposed terrorist makes this issue a irrelevant one. I am sitting here watching CNN and Fox News and on CNN this idiot just said that
McCain has to point out that Obama is different! How is that a good statement to make? Anyone can see he is different. I mean what the hell his slogan is CHANGE WE NEED.

This campaign that McCain is running is the politics of the past. I hope the McCain campaign is a complete failure and as someone that lives in Arizona with McCain as our Senator. I stand as one of the people he represents I plead “Come home and retire McCain we don’t want you as President. We need a change and you are not the one.”

I have no reservations about this and pleading to McCain to quit. I do not want another four years of a Bush like Administration.

I fear that in the last days of this election which we are nearing it will be brought to blows on race from the McCain campaign. These insults and slander will not be said directly but in round about ways.

I look forward to voting Obama even though the electoral votes in my state will pick McCain. I hope that Obama will win and make the changes this country needs!
